Be careful who you wish for…
Bear, a music store employee, buys a novelty charm that grants his wish that his friend and co-worker, Nikki, should fall in love with him. But the supernatural compulsion warps her mind into violent obsession, trapping him in a nightmare he cannot wish away.
Barker's screenplay is partly inspired by The Simpsons episode "Treehouse of Horror II".
The film was theatrically released in the US on May 15, 2026. It was a critical and commercial success, grossing $501.5 million worldwide and setting multiple box-office records as the tenth-highest-grossing film of 2026 and fifth-highest-grossing horror film of all time (not adjusted for inflation).
